What do you get when you add 15 kids, a huge cake, a massive indoor play area and 3D decorations?

A huge celebration for a seven year old named Cameron!

Cam had a big party as a local play area… We usually have parties in our backyard but since our backyard is recovering from foundation work (meaning we don’t really have grass), we had to celebrate somewhere else. It was a ton of fun and I now understand why I’d want to regularly celebrate at this location. I had a helper the entire time and she helped make sure the kids had drinks and plates and she helped cut the cake. It was great. Anyway… The boy and his friends ran and played and really enjoyed the fun that comes with 3D glasses and Star Wars.

Two and a half hours later, I took the exhausted kids home (just my two, I let the other parents take their children. Two is enough for me thank you very much!). Cameron is still talking about the fun and his friends all want to get 3D stuff. Good thing there are a bunch of 3D movies coming out these days. We’re clearly keeping up with the trends.

After the party Cam took his gifts home and opened them (the party place is not made for easy gift opening – it was built for eating cake and running around a lot). He was so excited to get all kinds of toys that his mom and dad would never buy. (Like super hero and Star Wars Legos and robot type of toys) I had a genius moment and decided that Cam had to write thank you notes before he could play with any of them. In less than 24 hours he had written notes to all of his friends and family. He didn’t even complain because he saw a purpose for his hard work. It was pretty cool and a really nice way to wrap up his fun weekend.
