Spyro is back!

by Cameron on November 27, 2011

A new video game has come out. It is the new Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure where toys come to life. For kids (or grown ups) who haven’t heard who Spyro is, he is a rare purple and orange dragon. The plot of the game is you use the Skylanders toys to defeat Kaos (no I did not spell that wrong it’s a name of the bad guy) and the darkness that is spreading through Skylands. You have to find all eight eternal sources: Air, Water, Ground, Life, Tech, Undead, Fire, and Magic.

So far, I have seven Skylanders. Three came with the starter pack, I bought two with money I saved for a long time in my bank and my friend Sam bought two. In total, we have Sonic Boom, Stump Smash, Chop Chop, Prisim Break, Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy, and finally Spyro.

Have a fun time with Spyro and his friends. I think this game is a lot of fun and I can’t wait to get even more of the Skylanders to play. Now here’s what the game is like. Bye Bye and please leave a comment. =)

By the way, Activision sent me a copy of the Skylanders Wii starter pack in exchange for a review. I was told to write my honest opinion and everything written here is based on my personal opinion.

Thank you for your review. I have children of my own and I will show them this to see if maybe they want to try it out.

Hi Cameron, love the review! What age group do you think the game is for? I have a couple of kids and think they might be interested in it.

Also, any other recommendations for games like this one?

Thanks!

Probably 8 or older

@Warren – I think this game is appropriate for a child who is eight or older and really likes games that include collecting items and earning extra features while you play.

This game is totally one of a kind… I’d guess Pokemon is similar in some ways. Cam really loves Lego Wii games because you get to experience semi-true to movie storyline experiences and you can earn money to buy extra characters and features.

Great job on your blog! You’ve sold Skylander to many! Looks like the game will go far!
